How much wallpaper will you need?

The calculation tool

Measure the height and width of the wall so you can easily calculate the required number of wallpaper rolls.  Enter both sizes in the calculation tool which is displayed on the page of the product.

Measuring the height

Because a wall in terms of height is not the same everywhere, you should measure the wall on the left side, on the right side and in the middle. For calculating the exact number of required rolls fill in the highest measured result. The wallpaper calculator calculates for each wallpaper strip a cutting loss of 7,5 cm above and 7,5 cm below. Are you a less experienced paperhanger, then calculate 10cm extra for the highest measured level due to additional cutting losses.

Measuring a wall with windows or a door

When a window or door runs from the ceiling to the floor, it is best to measure both sides of the wall separately (the left and right side of the window or door). These sections are entered as two separate walls in the wallpaper calculator.

When a window or door does not run up to the ceiling or floor, it is best to measure the upper- and lower portion of the window or door.  Both parts are entered as two separate walls in the wallpaper calculator.

Different types of wallcoverings in a room.

Use for each type of wallcovering the wallpaper calculator which is displayed on the page of that particular product.  So if you want to use several types of wallcoverings in a space, it is not possible to do all calculations on just one tool. The pattern repeats can be very different for every article and the walpaper calculator calculates the exact number of rolls for the product in which it is displayed.
